Who we are

Building the workforce that connects Nevada to care.

NCHA develops, supports, and deploys qualified Community Health Workers throughout Nevada while helping workers build sustainable healthcare careers.

Our purpose

A reliable pathway into community health.

Nevada Community Health Alliance strengthens Nevada’s healthcare workforce by creating a pathway for Community Health Workers to enter the profession, obtain employment, continue developing their skills, and advance into sustainable careers.

At the same time, NCHA gives healthcare and community organizations access to a flexible CHW workforce that can be deployed according to organizational and community needs.

Our mission in action

Recruit. Prepare. Develop. Connect. Deploy.

Community Health Workers should not simply be placed into jobs. They should have the opportunity to build careers.

Recruit community talent

Identify people whose experience, relationships, and commitment can strengthen community health.

Prepare for the workplace

Support readiness, communication, documentation, navigation, and professional workplace skills.

Develop lasting careers

Connect workers to continuing education, mentoring, career planning, and stackable credentials.

The Community Health Worker Pool

One coordinated network. Many ways to serve.

The Nevada Community Health Worker Pool is a coordinated network of trained CHWs who can be matched with organizations that need trusted, community-based professionals.

Depending on employer needs and worker qualifications, opportunities may be full-time, part-time, temporary, project-based, or contracted.
